Summary

This is the story about Rocco, a talking couch. Saved by two kids on garbage night, the magic of speech prevails. His goal is to grow up as part of a family and educate the less fortunate. Hidden away in their garage; He teaches Stephen and Billy how to think for themselves, be creative, become better people, and to use their own imagination.

Rocco’s first weekend alone finds comfort and befriends another set of ‘Woodies’, a seven-piece coaster set that their mother never threw out. Only to find out they are an ‘A Capella’ singing group.  Skyler the lead coaster informs Rocco; that once the kids reach the age of 19, speech with the kids is no longer possible.

Rocco finds technology may help him but then becomes conflicted in his efforts to teach the children how to think for themselves.

He is educational, witty and comically sarcastic.  Rocco a 357 year old piece of wood teaches the less fortunate how ‘The Woodies’ came to be the foundation to our founding fathers,  and whose life story tells us our Countries history.
