Based on a true story
Early 14th century: an era where power spoke volumes, chess could be played with real people and true love can conquer. This is the story of a Baroness Margaret de Clare Badlesmere; the first woman in history to be prisoned in the Tower of London ordered by her love, the King. Passion, lust and greed fueled all those involved, but where true love held no boundaries.
